The Plainclothes position that PO Green mentioned sounds like a great opportunity for some of our members who do not want to patrol but want to pick up some hours and participate in our crime prevention efforts.

The NYPD Disorder Control Unit needs our help. In preparation for Tues May 1, 2012 (aka May Day) the disorder needs full duty auxiliary members to dress as civilians and act like protesters on Wednesday afternoon. I will have all the info for you tomorrow. Please, If you are available, help! This is valuable training for not only the task force but all of you since you are involved with these details. Hoorah!

Yes Runilly, 1800. This "meeting" is quickly turning into a huge detail. I promise you all that this will be nuts. The build up is getting huge and from my past experience with this detail in general, we need help. The detail is crazy enough without adding OWS to it. BE READY, GET AMPED UP, GET MOTIVATED!!!! This to give all of you an idea of what they are saying on a MAY DAY website, "This May Day, Occupy Wall Street, in coalition with numerous other organizations and occupations, calls for a Day Without The 99%: No Work, No School, No Shopping, No Housework, No Compliance. Let's take the streets, reclaim our communities, and support each other. NOT the 1%." READ IT AGAIN!! NO COMPLIANCE!!!

TROOPS: The MANDATORY GENERAL BODY MEETING IS ON MAY 1ST. Like I said, this is MANDATORY!!! Everyone is to have their uniform and equipment ready for patrol. The word on the street is that Occupy Wall Street is looking to take over the streets. It is called the MAY DAY PARADE. The CTTF has been involved in this detail before and it is always crazy. This year, they are advertising mass chaos. The City will need your help. The Police Dept will need all of us. I have already been assigned to the detail. I advise all of you to be ready to rock and roll. No excuses!!! Plan on being in that night. Anyone that is ready to put that uniform on and anyone up to the task, be ready to go by 1800 the latest. This will not be playtime!!!!! Aux. Cop, I thank you for your kind words. We are very proud of who we are and what we are!!! Yes, we keep our standards very high. They are the best!!!! Stay Safe

Heard a lot about the CTTF. I figured that I would check out the website. Unbelievable!! Great job. The CTTF seems to be very much squared away. I have seen some of the members at various events. You guys are very impressive looking. Nothing against the members of other precincts but you all look like regulars. Nice to see a unit that works as a team and has such high standards. I am also very impressed that the coordinators are so much involved. I heard a lot about Officer Green but just saw that you actually have a second coordinator. You must be busy. Very impressive all around!!!! Keep representing this program. I hear that you all have become the model unit. Great job!

Troops: The equipment that you borrow from the NYPD (bullet resistant vest, radio, tactical response hood)must be returned after patrol daily unless you have a 49 from APS stating that your equipment is personally assigned to you. If any members forgot to hand back any piece of equipment within the last month, I highly suggest that you return it!!!!! I hope we understand eachother. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!

C.O. Conna, The ship terminal detail is a small detail that would probably be a waste for you to drive down for. It is usually very active during the summer months. That is probably a better time for you to shadow it. Thanks for the comments about this units morale. Yes, they are the best!!! This unit is loaded with talented, motivated people. I am very lucky!

So much for 4/20...these were the only ones Joe and I found wielding a role of duck tape who were up to no good. I also second A/Sgt France; I like the idea, good thinking Marty.

P.O. Green, I am off from the Office for FIVE strait days [three vacation days in conjunction with two RDOs]. My watch commander at the Office could not grant me a PL day to attend [with the CTTF] the Police Arlington Ceremony on May 19th hosted by the Traffic Safety Benevolent Association. This is due primarily to short staffing during PRIME vacation time. Is it permissible for me to “tag along” with you and the CCTF auxiliary unit at tomorrow morning ship terminal detail as an observer/ non-participant “shadow”? It is refreshing to see high morale amongst volunteer members coupled with motivated, caring coordinators/ commanding officers--that’s you and P.O. Navarro!
