Hello Team, I would like to add to the praise that all of you deserve. I am proud of the members that responded to the scene last night to assist when Officer Holder was mortally wounded. This is what it is all about. We are all one big family out there trying to do one job, to serve and protect. Tragically we lost Officer Holder who was trying to do his job and do what he loved. And now we must mourn another loss. I commend those that responded with Detective Green and I am proud of you guys and miss working with all of you. Keep doing what you are doing and watch your back out there on the streets. Now lets mourn the loss of our brother and never forget our fallen. Motivated, Dedicated and Proud. We are the CTTF. Today at Roll Call, a special THANK YOU and Shout Out went out to this Unit for the amazing response to last nights mobilization. The scene was completely set up within minutes of us rolling up 84. The Thank You's continued to pour in after Roll Call from random cops that had been working last night on their regular tours or overtime tours. THIS TEAM WAS AMAZING LAST NIGHT!!! GREAT JOB, AS USUAL!!!! KEEP IT UP. THIS IS THE TEAM!!! I AM PROUD OF ALL OF YOU THAT RAN DOWNSTAIRS, GOT CHANGED, AND REALIZED THAT THIS "VOLUNTEER" JOB IS GREATER THAN YOURSELF. YOU KNOW WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT. IT'S ABOUT YOUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN BLUE!!! SOME WILL NEVER GET IT!!! That is their problem! Those that don't get it, like our friend that posted earlier, are LUCKY that we exist. We are the MOTIVATED, DEDICATED, AND PROUD. WE ARE THE CTTF!!!

Let's get something clear right away you need to know the reason why officers join the NYPD Auxlilary there already putting there life on the line by putting on the Unifrom paid or not when you have a passion for something you love hours, and sleep is in the back of your head because you love what you do and you do a damn good job doing it, if little words like shame makes you feel soft get out the NYPD if you can't take that one word and own up too it when people on the street talk shit too you ull get all scard and cry? NO man up pull up your big boy pants and work that's why you wear a uniform help people call of duty at all times I think you need to join the girls scouts and play pass the cookie game becuse a job like this is not the place for you and if someone don't like the "voluntary" work they do GIVE IN YOUR STUFF and walk out and yes people who didn't stay should be shame

I'm sorry GuyJoe, I'm busy escorting the body of a murdered MOS. I don't have time to tell you that you are clueless and that the shooters were all captured by the time I deployed our people. But, you know everything already. Now, let us lead the the way. You go fill out a Hurt Feelings Report!

You won't have to work hard (though you always do) on your Valedictory speech for graduation from the Academy... you can just edit the one you gave as the first Rough Rider Valedictorian of an Auxiliary class. Please join us tomorrow, if you can, at the fundraiser across from the Castle (see Det. Green's post below.)

I want to respond to Green and the others that are basically shaming the Auxiliary Officers that didn't join to assist for the lost of the police officer. Shaming members of the team/unit could really lower the morale and create distrust because it now shames people into thinking they have to be places or do extra volunteering, even when they might not be able to due to work, school, family, needing rest, etc. If anything, the sad lost of these armed trained police officers should show even further that any amount of volunteer service/hours that auxiliary police do should be appreciated, since they are not armed or trained or paid as an on the job police officer, but still run into a chance of being subject to similar risk, if they are in the wrong place at the wrong time. I don't think these auxiliary officers should be shamed for this or feel bad for not coming along if they came in and did their part for the day, prior to that. Now, I understand you guys claim to be the best, the elite, the motivated, and set the standard, so being there at times like this is expected, but I just wanted to put it out there, people shouldnt be shamed into the amount of unarmed, unpaid, volunteer service that they didn't do. As long as they did the required amount of hours anything else should be cherished. Correct me if i'm wrong, but were these auxiliary officers out/expected to be out there while a shooter was on the loose? How would that hae turned out if the only thing in the way of the suspect making an escape from the area was auxiliary officers, that he probably didn't know was unarmed? I can go even further: How about all the civilians that could of assisted with traffic control, clearing the streets, setting up barricades, etc? The general public can be just as much of assistance to help police officers as anyone else.If this is drilled into their head more than shaming a few auxiliary officers that probably aren't in the units in-crowd anyway, then having extra help wouldn't have been an issue, because the public would of been there already, you know, the same public that you protect and serve. They should be taught how to protect and serve you when the time calls for it.Shame them.
