Class was fun today! I always feel motivated everytime at class. After a really hard day from class and doing a 5-8 mile run after that I get to relax and hear Detective Green make amazing points which really makes me want to chase my career!

Good Evening fellow officers, I am hoping this post finds its way to A/SGT Debeoer. I am interested in joining the Tunnel to Towers run on the 29th of this month. I heard Det. Green was organizing something for Auxiliaries who wanted to show their support. Please let me know how I can join this event with any other Auxiliaries who are interested in running. My email is Legend9891@yahoo.com

We are less than 2 weeks away from the 2014 Tunnel to Towers. If you are registered on Crowdrise for the fundraiser please be sure you have also registered and paid for the 5k. It's on the main T2T Crowdrise page. Also please be sure you have given your shirt order to A/PO Stauber so you have your team shirt. Please do not show up on the 28th without it. You are part of the team so you need to have one. We are about halfway to our fundraising goal. If you have not donated, or know someone that would like to donate please do so as soon as possible. It's not about how much you give, just that you do give. If everyone in this unit was to give just $10 we would surpass our goal for the year. Think about it, you blow $10 just buying lunch on any given day. The funds collected really do go to great causes. Not only will you be helping children in need but you'll be helping first responders and veterans that gave everything that had and more to help preserve the freedoms you take for granted every day. So what are you waiting for? Support your team, support the Stephan Siller Foundation and give what you can!

Approx. 2 years ago, I was conducting interviews for an incoming BTC Class. I have to say, there were a lot of applicants but, few stood out. One of the few was this young female. She was just a kid but there was something about her that made me believe that she would be a great pick up for this unit solely based on her drive. The main problem was that she was YOUNG! I MEAN YOUNG. A little immature but had potential. So, I drafted her into the class. She was quiet. Quiet but friendly. Never nasty and always seemed to pay attention. She passed the class and began her career as an officer in this unit. She was dealing with school, her hours with us(me riding her) and her social life. After making a few bad decisions, her career with this unit and any other law enforcement organization looked like it hit a dead end. This was her low. Many people stay on the floor when they are knocked down and they make a decision to give up. Did she? NO! She stood up, brushed herself off and took control of HER LIFE! She came back to this unit, became an asset and made a decision to join the United States Army. She has been quietly going through the process. She has been successful throughout the process, passing all their tests. When that happens, it is only a matter of time before the day finally comes that they have to walk into my office and surrender their ID and Shields. Last night was that moment. After a great TSBA Meeting, this A/PO walked in and advised me that last night was her last tour. I paused. I looked up at a person who was just a kid when she joined this unit and realized that she was now a Woman. A woman with a purpose and a mission to succeed. She had that same spark as usual but this time she was focused. More focused than the average person that walks into the office. She was prepared. She was Motivated. She handed me her shield and ID. I couldn't deposit amongst the others in my draw. Afterall, those didn't deserve to have her shield even touch them. I turned, advised her that she is always going to be a part of this team and I gave her a few words of wisdom. She was nervous. I understand completely! I have been there. I told her that she can do it and that I am very proud of her. I do not think that she understood how proud I really was. I was holding back because I did not feel like crying in front of everyone last night so, I'm doing it now by myself. I want all of you to join me in wishing A/PO Emma James Good Luck. SHE IS EXACTLY WHO THIS UNIT TURNS OUT EVERYDAY. SHE IS MOTIVATED. SHE IS DEDICATED. WE ARE PROUD OF HER. SHE WILL BE MISSED! EMMA, GO GET EM!!!! OOOOOOOORAH!!!!
