Detective Green, I'm sorry but I can't make it to the meeting because I started summer classes last week and it's from 1800 to 2145. I'm not trying to make an excuse but I really can't miss a day of class because it's a one month class. If needed I'll send you my class schedule. Thank you.

DET. GREEN   MANDATORY MEETING 2000HRS TOMORROW
07-13-2014 7:41:33 PM EST

MANDATORY! MANDATORY! MANDATORY! Apparently we have several people assigned to this unit that do not understand what MANDATORY MEANS! The excuses continue to flood my phone and email and as usual, the excuses are from the same people I have to chase down every quarter. YOUR DAYS ARE NUMBERED! Just so that you understand what MANDATORY means, I have found the definition for those that choose to attempt an excuse. MANDATORY: 1. authoritatively ordered; obligatory; compulsory: It is mandatory that all students take two years of math. 2. pertaining to, of the nature of, or containing a command. 3. permitting no option; not to be disregarded or modified: a mandatory clause.

Good job to my fellow APOs nice performance with multiple responsibilities at Broadway Barks. A mother and daughter passing by walked up to me and personally said "thank you for keeping the city safe." She was referring to our whole team as well. May we continue to treat eachother and others well thereby making a good impression for our team & NYPD.

A/Sgt. Sterler   OUTSTANDING BROADWAY PERFORMANCE!!!

AGAIN the CTTF crew, turned out today by A/Sgt Wice and myself, accomplished everything planned - and a lot more - starting with expediting an ambulance for an injured pedestrian long before we even reached our assigned location. Once posted around famous Shubert Alley, Rough Riders found themselves performing primary access control at some entrances to the Broadway Barks celebrity staging areas - not just backup to event volunteers and private security guards as originally planned. Fortunately, even our very newest members were ROUGH RIDER TOUGH and ROUGH RIDER SMART, proving equal to the increased responsibilities. I couldn't be prouder of the whole crew that stayed through the end of the tour. GREAT jobs by APOs Perugini, Mujakic, Persaud, Steyert, Liang and Weiss (yes, there's an APO Weiss as well as an A/Sgt. Wice.) And I MUST add that APOs Ruiz and Apolinaris performed BRILLIANTLY at two separate tasks that proved unexpectedly challenging. The organizers were so pleased with us they had the on-stage Emcee specifically thank CTTF Auxiliary Unit by name over the speakers at the height of the event. Those APOs that said they were coming and didn't, and those that thought about it but didn't come, missed a great day! Motivated, Dedicated and VERY PROUD of today's crew. We ARE CTTF!

07-11-2014 2:56:06 AM EST
This Saturday's Broadway Barks event runs until 1830 hours... and that's when some of CTTF's real fun BEGINS! We'll be providing control to reverse vehicular traffic on a one-way street to guide large air-conditioned animal vans through heavy pedestrian traffic safely on their way back to shelters. Because of this, we're not likely to return to the Castle until circa 2000 hrs. PLEASE PLAN NOW, if you possibly can, to work through to the end of this operation. We understand that some may not be able to do so, and we will make provisions to dismiss those who must go earlier. Be advised, though, that logistics may necessitate some who can't stay to the end being dismissed earlier than they'd like. Please factor this schedule into your plans and tell me or A/Sgt. Wice, when you arrive Saturday morning at 1000 hrs, the latest time you can work until. If you have questions about this, please contact me directly - we need not discuss every individual APO's plans on the public message board. Proper Planning Prevents Pathetically Poor Performance. We ARE CTTF.
