A/SGT Siewert   WEEKENDS
07-06-2014 5:34:07 PM EST
For the benefit of our new officers and per Det Green's post, Saturday and Sunday start times are day tours ONLY unless otherwise posted starting at 1100 hours. Unlike weekday tours where patrol may happen on a rolling basis due to people getting out of work, weekend patrol starts at the posted times, there are no additional pick ups. From the Spring through the late Fall most weekend tours prioritize parades and city events which are posted with start times by Det Green, the CO and or XO.

BROADWAY BARKS is a major, star-studded outdoor pet adoption event that is a challenging and fun detail for CTTF. It involves not only routine pedestrian and vehicular traffic control for which Rough Riders are revered, but surgical precision reversing direction of a one-way street to accomodate arrival/departure of large special air-conditioned vans bringing adoptable animals, and preventing arriving stars of stage and screen from being mobbed by adoring autograph hunters. I was priviledged to work it last time with A/Lt. Lewis and have been looking forward to it all year. It's no surprise that the first to post up for it are APOs who worked the last one. C'mon abord.

I will be in for Broadway Barks next Saturday. This is a great event for APOs (especially new members) who want to interface with New Yorkers, tourists, the whole Great White Way "people experience."

A/DI Quinones   Great Job Last Night!!!
07-05-2014 10:35:43 AM EST

What an amazing Job last night!!! All of you were at your very best. I know that Captain Hammer personally came out of his way to thank many of you at the end of the tour!! Every intersection we handled was controlled, when we responded the problem was fixed. Our brothers from Hwy you were all very much part of the solution and your assistance/presence is always welcomed!!! within one week we turned our 48 for pride parade and 33 for 4th of July that's fantastic!!! Thank you all. New Guys I hope that you are all having fun!!!!

SATURDAY 7/12/14, 1000 Turnout. BROADWAY BARKS DETAIL! The CTTF Auxiliary Unit is actually printed in the PLAYBILL for this broadway event. HOW AWESOME IS THAT! I need at least 20 officers for this event. Let's continue the tradition that former A/LT Dave Lewis began several years ago. MOTIVATED, DEDICATED, PROUD!!!! CTTF!!!!

A/Sgt. Sterler   Outstanding job!
07-05-2014 2:52:21 AM EST
Rough Riders OWNED some of the busiest intersections along the approach to the fireworks waterfront... keeping things flowing when they needed to flow, frozen when they needed to froze. And AGAIN the class that just hit the streets performed like veterans - a CTTF tradition. Everyone who worked last night should be PROUD, as they certainly showed their Motivation and Dedication.

DET. GREEN   Another AWESOME turnout!
07-04-2014 7:43:28 PM EST

33 Members of the Transportation Bureau Auxiliary Units showed the colors tonight at the July 4th turnout. AWESOME JOB! I am very aware of the chatter amongst the naysayers of the program. THEY CAN NOT BAD MOUTH US!!!! We continues to prove all of them wrong. Keep it up! Remember, jealousy is a sickness! Keep your heads held high and continue to set the standard for this program. Those that are smart will follow our lead. MOTIVATED, DEDICATED, PROUD!!!! WE ARE THE CTTF!!!!!
