In 2002, the City of New York renamed a portion of West 31st Street "Father Mychal F. Judge Street" You can see the street sign on 7th Avenue & W. 31st Street, just around the corner from CTTF Base. I am always reminded of his heroism whenever I pass by.

P.O. GREEN   SIGN UP FOR ST. PATS PARADE
03-04-2013 1:19:49 PM EST

This is one of the big parades ladies and gents! We need everyone. Sign up for the detail starting today. POST IT!!! If you are working the St. Patrick's Day Parade on Saturday, March 16, 2013, I need to know. LEAVE TIME, AND I MEAN LEAVE TIME, WILL BE 0830 FROM THE BASE. 0830 PEOPLE!!! 0900 IS THE AUXILIARY TURNOUT. IF YOU ARE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE THAT JUST CAN NOT PUT PANTS AND A SHIRT ON QUICKLY, GET HERE EARLY. LET'S SET THE STANDARD ON THIS ONE. MOTIVATED, DEDICATED, PROUD. CTTF!!!

P.O. GREEN   WHAT WE DO IS AN HONOR!
03-04-2013 9:56:38 AM EST

Since 1806 the NYPD has recorded 871 Officer line of duty deaths. 871!!! They wore the blue uniform just like you. It is an honor to carry on the NYPD legacy. I do not care if it is an auxiliary patch or not. You are members of the NYPD. New York's Finest. Those of you that are just here for the shield, SHAME ON YOU!!! This is a brotherhood and we will carry on the legacy of our fallen. THIS IS AN HONOR. EVERY SINGLE TIME THAT YOU PUT THAT UNIFORM ON, YOU SHOULD BE THANKING WHATEVER GOD YOU BELIEVE IN FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY. God Bless our fallen. FIDELIS AD MORTEM!!!!

P.O. GREEN   DEDICATION, ALL IN, THIS IS A HERO
03-04-2013 9:16:54 AM EST

THIS IS DEVOTION!!!! THIS IS DOING WHAT YOU KNOW IS YOUR CALLING, RIGHT TO THE END!!! That is Father Mychal Judge being carried out of the WTC Site. The LT. on the left is Ret. Lt. Cosgrove of the MTTF. Father Judge responded to the WTC to see if he could help the FDNY in anyway. He didn't have to. A Priest responding? Yes. He was an FDNY Department Chaplain. When he got to the WTC Site, he began to read the last rites to all of those people who had jumped to their deaths. Ironically, it was one of those who jumped that landed on Father Judges head, killing him. He knew the danger. He ignored it. He had a job to do and he did it. That was his calling. That is "all in." That is dedication. Are you worthly enough to wear that uniform? Are you in the right business? Take a good look into your souls. You are either ALL IN, or you are out. GOD BLESS FATHER MYCHAL JUDGE. A TRUE HERO!

P.O. GREEN   DEVOTED TO DUTY OR NOT?
03-04-2013 8:35:06 AM EST

Some people are, some people are not. It is the same old story at every detail. It is the same people that show. These are the devoted. These are the people that make a difference. Thank them. They are carrying this unit through the war zone. They are representing all of you. Shame on you for not being there alongside of them. It's a damn shame. I am tired of it and I know that they are too. This is not a game. This is the NYPD. DON'T BE A POSER. BE A COP!!! LOOK DOWN DEEP INSIDE YOURSELF. IF YOU ARE NOT COMING IN, YOU SHOULD BE MAD AT YOURSELF. YOU LOST THE PASSION FOR THIS. TIME TO GO. YOU LOST THE WANT AND NEED TO HELP PEOPLE. TIME TO GO. YOU ARE WASTING MY TIME. TIME TO GO. I TAKE DEVOTION TO DUTY VERY SERIOUSLY. HONOR, RESPECT, DEVOTION TO DUTY!!!! 3/13/13-MEETING AT 1900HRS.

APO De Boer, my only disagreement with your post is that I think the Rockaway St.Pat's Parade WAS a glamorous detail, and I'm disappointed a commitment upstate prevented me from enjoying the parade itself and the opportunity of serving the Sandy-beleaguered Rockaway residents. In lieu, I worked the prior night with some other fine team members in support of the 10th Pct's deployment to deter crime in their nightlife area (come to think of it, that too was pretty glamorous.) In addition to Iron Men Navarro and France, who did a double working both details, our Friday night Rough Rider infusion included A/Lt. Lewis and APOs Cosme, Morgan, Diaz, Barreau and Soohoo. But I sure did miss working with you and A/Sgt. Siewert. I'll always remember how you both made me feel right at home with the unit on a couple of courtesy tours when my transfer was barely even a rumor. I'll see you at the meeting on the 13th and hope to work with you again sooner if feasible, but certainly for the big Parade on the 16th. Who'd want to miss that?

I feel the need to put my 2 cents in regarding the posting made by APO De Boer. To add to his post, the CTTF has become well known by the auxiliary police program. Your coordinators are loved and looked up to by all that are involved with this program. PO Green really does go above and beyond for you. He seems to care more than any other coordinator that I have ever met. If he is asking you to step it up, STEP IT UP. I wish that my precinct had the family and team feel that you men and women seem to have. Your unit needs to work together and show up for the major details. If they do not, your unit will be just shooting itself in the foot. Be the unit that you are known for and wake up. Listen to your teammates. Do not take your coordinators or your popularity for granted. People are watching you and they are waiting for you to screw up. Don't screw up. The jealous ones will be laughing at you. Stay Great CTTF. Be the unit that paves the way for the rest of us. This program needs leaders like you.

The only thing is holding us back is our shield,ID and uniform , we can't wait I'm fired up and ready to go, I'm motivated. A chain is as strong as it's weakest link come on CTTF we have great supervisors in PO Green and PO Navarro they work hard for us , they take crap for us, now make them proud.

First off I would like to thank the other five team members that stood out in the cold yesterday with me. Now that I have thanked them on to other business. You all have probably read PO Greens post from yesterday morning, if not keep scrolling down. I understand that it was and early turn out and it was Saturday morning. Yeah it sucks to wake up early on the weekend. But guess what? You all chose to serve w/ the CTTF and this is one of the main things we do. Take a look around not only the precinct but whenever we stand a big detail. As most of our transfers will tell you we aren't ignored or talked down to by the full timers as a lot of other units are. We aren't looked at as a joke. Why? Because we have earned the respect from hard work and discipline, kicking ass and getting the job done. I get it, this wasn't a glamorous detail, but it was important to the residents of Far Rockaway. If you don't understand that let me give you a hint. This year wasn't so much a parade as a return to normal life and recovery for them. If you couldn't give a couple hours of your time to stand tall and represent the CTTF and the city yesterday you might want to reevaluate why you are here in the first place. From now through the summer we have a lot going on over the weekends and need all hands on deck. Besides parades and street fairs there is the ship terminal every weekend. We provide an essential service at each and every one of these details. Both PO Green and PO Navarro go above and beyond what any coordinator should have to do to motivate you. When I was in the Marines I worked in a unit where the leadership didn't really want to be there. Trust me you don't want want to work in that atmosphere. Live up to your commitment, your coordinators do and so do your supervisors. Take a look at the names that showed up yesterday and think about the fact that 2 supervisors showed up and only 4 A/PO's. That is pathetic! There should be 3 times that number if 2 supervisors are coming in. If you want to be a part of this unit step up and prove it.
